City & Guilds 2365-03
Level 3 Diploma
Science, fault finding, inspection and testing, and design, with mock exams for every unit.
Who it’s for
Learners on the Level 3 Diploma, and anyone brushing up on theory, testing and design.
What’s inside
- Study notes for Units 301 to 305, plus Health & Safety
- Over a thousand practice questions with hints and worked explanations
- Mock exams that follow the handbook for each unit
- Design school, Testing centre and a formula sheet with worked examples
Why it helps
The hard topics (design, testing, fault finding) get worked examples and interactive visualisations, not just text.

The Level 3 Diploma (2365-03) is where the work gets technical: electrical science, fault diagnosis, inspection and testing, and electrical systems design. It's the qualification most apprentices find hardest, and the design and testing units are where marks are usually lost.
ProBits gives each Level 3 unit study notes with worked examples, interactive visualisations for the tricky ideas (three-phase, power factor, ring circuits, cable calculations and fault finding), over a thousand practice questions with explanations, and mock exams for every unit. The Design school and the Testing centre let you practise cable sizing and the test sequence step by step.

How to use it
- 1Work through the study notes topic by topic, using the worked examples and interactive visualisations for the harder calculations.
- 2Use the formula sheet to learn each formula, practise it with new numbers, then transpose it until rearranging feels easy.
- 3Practise cable sizing in the Design school and the test sequence in the Testing centre, step by step.
- 4Sit each unit's mock exam, check your weak topics, and revise those before the real test.
Try a sample question
An installation has Ze = 0.35 Ω and the circuit's R1 + R2 = 0.65 Ω. The earth fault loop impedance Zs is:
- A1.00 Ω
- B0.23 Ω
- C2.00 Ω
- D0.30 Ω
Show the answer
Answer: A. Zs = Ze + (R1 + R2) = 0.35 + 0.65 = 1.00 Ω. This measured value is compared against the maximum permitted Zs for the protective device to confirm disconnection times are met.

Questions about this course
- Is this the official City & Guilds course?
- No. ProBits is a revision and practice app. It isn't made, approved or endorsed by City & Guilds, and you still sit your real exams through your college or training provider.
- Does it include Unit 201 Health and Safety?
- Yes. Level 3 includes Unit 201, because many Level 3 learners still have to pass it, with its own notes, questions and mock exam.
- How much does it cost?
- One subscription opens every course: £6.49 a month or £57 a year. Every new account starts with 14 days free, and you can cancel any time.
